Gardening green is a gardening approach dedicated to keeping the earth healthy and green for future generations. It means collecting what natural resources we can (ie. rainwater and compost) to use in creating new fruits, vegetables, and foliage.
It is easy to create compost. Simply, place your kitchen waste and yard clippings into specially designed compartments which quickly turn your trash into treasure for your garden.
In lieu of using the city's water supply, collect rainwater through the rain barrels that collect the water streaming off of your roofline. This water can then be recycled into watering your plants.
With small changes, we can all begin to garden green.
